GOA
TRAVEL BLOG
First day
We landed in Goa airport at 1:15 on the 12th of September to a divine view.
Full of nature and excitement Goa is known for its tourism and pristine beaches.
After landing me and my family took off in a taxi to a family members house where we then unpacked
and got ready for the activity filled day ahead of us.Excitedly we ventured out , our first stop was a
restaurant nearby called Wok and roll which by the way had the best nasi goreng next we went
shopping for essential items at a nearby grocery store called Newtons where we spent majority
of our time at.After that we went back to the house and prepared for the coming days. For dinner
we ate KFC. Your probably wondering why we would go to Goa to eat KFC which to be honest
I was too at the time however we were extremely exhausted and just wanted food for the soul.
Shortly after before we knew it we lay down in hopes to get a good night's rest, However the
universe had other plans, Just before i was about to shut my eyes an army of ants marched in as if they
owned the place. Not only that but a wasp was chilling on my bedside table. After having a mini
panic attack and using an immense amount of bug spray I finally managed to fall asleep.
Second day
Still recovering from the animal invasion last night , I got up at 8:15 and started getting ready.Today was going to be dedicated to exploring Goa.First we walked to a cafe nearby called Cara Vela where we ate some eggs and sausages and enjoyed a glass of the BEST coffee. Soon after we wandered to Candolim beach where we took in the beautiful view . It was slightly windy as it had rained the night before so we decided to go to Azura where we had a few snacks and then to Tomatoes where we indulged in a delicious pizza along with some gelato for dessert .Since we were getting tired we headed back to the house. Later on around 6:00 we went for a swim in the pool and then walked to a restaurant called Mickey's place where we had butter chicken with a twist and finger licking prawns.
Third day
I woke up after a good night's rest at around 9:30 and had some breakfast. My family and I then walked
to Cara Vela once again since it had quickly become a fan favorite. This time we went for lunch.Lunch
was just as good as breakfast, maybe even better. The burger and spaghetti bolognese was absolutely
scrumptious. For the rest of the day we chilled in the house until dinner time. For dinner we had
plans to go to Thalassa ( a super happening restaurant right on the beach)Thalassa was on the
other side of Goa so it was a commitment however totally worth it. After a 45 minute drive we
finally reached . The view was extraordinary and the weather was lovely. We had some
watermelon and feta salad which was surprisingly good and some risotto. After that heart filling
meal we returned home and fell asleep.
Fourth and final day
Since today was the last day we decided to step things up a bit and walked through a tiny
Portugese town called Fontainhas in Pan Jim where we saw the cutest buildings /houses.
Then we grabbed a drink at Verandah since it was extremely humid.Next we took a taxi to
Bay15 which was on a private beach. The weather was the best today as it wasn't as windy.
After eating some crab, sausages and poutine we enjoyed the beach until it started raining
,ofcourse! We rushed to the nearest taxi and before we knew it reached the house.Since
it was our last day we had to visit Newtons once again for no absolute reason.
For dinner we went to a Lebanese restaurant called Uptown where there was an
awesome live singer.
